It's Beginning To Feel A Lot Like Christmas!
Things have been moving along all the same around here. I just spoke to Matt yesterday, he is trying to fly out of Louisville, Kentucky to get to his Dad's in Tooelle. His flights are getting cancelled, this weather is strange. He sounds great and definatly like a new man. I'm going to really hurt him if he doesn't make it here to see me before heading back to Kentucky. He has graduation on the 29th of January, I hope I can make it. But then he leaves that day to Germany! It's so scary thinking about having my baby in a whole different country, but I'm very proud of him. I know the Lord will keep him safe.
The rest of the kids are all doing great, gearing up for Christmas. Jammie is beginning to look more pregnant and has found out it's a boy for sure, I was really looking forward to another girl we need more girls in this family, but we love them all. Joey is getting excited for Christmas, he hung out with us last weekend and helped set up the tree and decorations. He is such a good kid. Lyndon is getting so freaking cute, he is starting to say Grandma (somewhat) with the help of me repeating it over and over, all he ever says over here is "papa" over and over and over again.....no comment. Anyway he is so cute.
Kim and I are heading over to St. George today to do some shopping and to see Drew and Harmony. It's very foggy outside so hopefully it will be clear by the time we head that way.
The other day our poor dog (Marley) was laying down and we noticed that she had a huge gash in her chest. Scared me to death, she must have been climbing through a barbed wire fence and cut herself. Kim had to take her to Hurricane to the vet and they stapled her shut. I swear she cost more than a child! But Kim takes care of her like a child, it's kind of funny. He has a blanket that he carry's around for her, she has two pillows to lay on, one in the living room, one in our bedroom. When we are in the living room the blanket is on her pillow in there, when we go to bed, he carrys it in there for her. I just shake my head. But he claims she is my dog not his, he didn't want her, it was all me..... whatever Judd. Anyway, will update more later with some photo's of our freaky snow in Fredonia!!

November 13, 2008

Drew got his test results back and they were good, no Cancer. He is doing well. I guess they are still a bit concerned for his loss of weight, but I think it's just cause the kid never eats and has been majorly stressed. We are extremly grateful that he is fine and all is well.
We are gearing up for Thanksgiving. Well, I have been. I have been cleaning walls, carpets, furniture, rearranging furniture, getting brused up by being attatcked by my lovely vacuum. Which has chosen not to stay locked in it's upright position anymore, so when I am using the hose it likes to fall on me...Well it fell on the top of my left hand and left a huge bruise on my hand which is turning purple. It hurts. I'm a crybaby. Anyway, all of the kids are coming over (except Matt) and I'm getting excited. I told Jammie and Harmony to get their thinking "Mommy" caps on and think of some fun activities and games for the kids to play. We will see what they can come up with.
Steph is coming next week, on the 19th. We are going to stay the night at Drew & Harmony's then go to dinner and a movie, maybe some shopping. It will be just grand fun! Also, Twilight is coming out on the 21st, I'm so excited, I'm planning on heading to St. George to go! No way will I miss this.
Kim has been fighting a massive tooth infection and is FINALLY getting better. He is still picking pine cones up on the mountain, so he has been happy. Crazy Man!
My work has been so hectic. I've been so busy trying to get the accounting department organized. They haven't had any organization and it amazes me that they have not had major problems. But we are making headway and I really enjoy my job.

November 1, 2008
Drew went to the doctor and they have been running tests on him. He had blood work done and came back that his white blood cell count was a little high, but they couldn’t tell anything from that. So now he is going in to get a biopsy done in a couple of weeks. He also has to get a CAT scan done. So once I hear something a little more black and white I will let you know. But he is really scared. Harmony is really trying to keep an optimistic outlook about it. Jaidyn is getting so big and she is so beautiful and smart. I can’t believe how smart she is. I think it because Harmony works with her all the time. She reads to her and teaches her words all the time. They were here last weekend. It was nice. We had everyone over on Saturday night and afterwards we carved pumpkins. I was fun, the kids were so cute. Yesterday was Halloween and Joey was dressed up like Batman and Lyndon was a penguin he was of course adorable. I will post them later.
Steph is planning on coming down for Thanksgiving and she wants to come a week early, she says it’s to spend more time with me, but she also said she wants to go see some band playing in St. George…. So I don’t care, at least I will get to see her. I miss her so bad. But I know she is happy where she is. Brendan is doing excellent in school. He really is a good kid. He has been coming here every other weekend and spending time with us. It’s been nice to hang out with him, although I know it’s lonely for him when he comes, he isn’t used to not having anyone else here. He is getting ready to start basketball in a couple of weeks. Which will suck, we won’t see him as often, but at least we are closer and can go watch his games.

Finally Posting
We had a very busy summer, it's gone by so fast. We went to a Judd reunion which was so much fun. We enjoyed spending time with the family. I got a new job at a christian troubled teens school. It truly is a great job and a blessing for me. I love working in the accounting capacity, I don't know why, I hated math so much in school, but here I am a book keeper in a private school. I love watching the changes in the kids there. They are truly special kids and just need some guidance. I have met some amazing people who have helped me stive to be a kinder, calmer, more humble person. I really am greatly for this job.
Kim's Granny that turned 100 this year finally passed away. On her last blessing she asked if she could live to turn 100. Well that was in March, she finally passed. This is the amazing woman I was typing her life history for. She is such a special woman, amazing spirit and amazing streghnth. She lived through 3 husbands, 5 kids, and I don't know how many grand kids and great-great grandkids.
Jammie and Marcus are expecting another baby! I had a dream it was a girl, so I keep telling her that is what it is, she wants a boy. I think she has finally decided she wants to find out what it is, so we can start getting prepared. Joey also started kindergarten! Yeah! He was so excited and loves school, he just has a mind of his own and wants to work when he wants to, sounds like his mother!!
Drew and Harmony are still plugging along in St. George. Harmony is going to school and working full time. Drew is working for a construction company and doing well. He just found out that his lymph nodes are swollen and they are worried it could be cancer or hopefully something else. We are waiting for the results and he has to go get a biopsy. We are praying all will be well with him.
My Matt.....he joined the Army. I'm so proud of him, but I'm so scared that he will be sent to the war. I have only got one letter from him so far. He is still in basic. I hope he is fine, I'm sure he is, just such a drastic thing. But he was determined, and for that I can't be prouder.
Steph and Brendan are still plugging along in school. Steph finally got her license, got her braces off, got contacts, now she is a hotty, with a license! She is doing well, we miss her teribly! Brendan is gearing up to start basketball soon. We've spent a lot of time with him this summer, it's been really nice. He is such a great kid. Can't believe these are our babies and this is their last year in school.
Anyway, will try to keep posting. We are hanging in there!!

4th Of July
The next day Kim and I decided to go for a Jeep ride up to the Kaibab to find Jame and Marcus who were up there for his family reunion, we ended running into them right off the bat, so we ended up taking the kids home while they took Creed home (Marcus' other son), then we all went up to the Kaibab for a Jeep ride, it was so pretty up there, and nice and cool. We ended up at Jacob Lake for of course, our traditional homemade cookies. Came home and bbq'd, played horseshoes, invited Gran and Gramps over and Melissa & Eric were over so they came too, which was nice to spend time with them. We all ended up swimming after dinner in the pool for a couple of hours, it was so much fun, playing Marco Polo in a 16' diameter pool! Very interesting! I wish I could've took pictures, but I was too busy being dunked several times by Mr. Brendan, the poop!

Been a while!
Brendan in now with us for part of the summer. He is so board, we have a huge house and it's so quiet. I'm going to pick up Stephanie from St. George tomorrow so she will help break the silence. I'm sure Jammie and the boys will be over tons now, to see aunt stephy!
We sold our camper to Drew, in hopes of getting one with a toilet and shower (I'm old and I don't want to deal with it anymore). Getting ready to get one soon so we can have it ready for the Judd Reunion. Looking forward to it! Kim and Brendan have been working on the yard getting ready to set up the swimming pool. We haven't set it up for years. So that will be a nice break from the heat, and will have playing with the grandbabies in it! I really love our yard and house. I love summer. I've been trying to keep up on my flower bed, trying to stay ahead of Marley, she likes to get in and dig her a cool spot, so Kim set up a small kiddy pool for her to play in. She loves the hose, it amazes me to watch her. So funny. I hope that Kim and I will someday be able to purchase this home and stay here for good. It feels like home and is nice when the kids come home to visit. I just wish any of my family or Kim's family would come visit us. I really do like to entertain, and our yard is so beautiful and relaxing. hint hint hint
I set up a family web site for my family the Rogers', but no one frequents it. Cathy, Cassy and Pete are the only ones. And I'm sure it was to make sure that I didn't yell at them. Anyway, no worries, their loss. I'm going to set one up for the Judd family, I bet I will have a better response than my family........ : (

I've been thinking about going to school. I'm checking into taking some photography classes. I want to purchase a new camara (very expensive)... thanks to Harmony, she bought one, now I see how cool they are and want one. I would really like to start my own business, taking photographs of families. I have also been working on Kim's grandma's life story. I finally finished typing it! Woo Hoo! Now I'm just adding all the other elements to it, like her patrachal blessing's, other letters and memento's that she has collected. Then I have to scan all the pictures and I'm going to put it together as a book. I will then be able to have it printed for family members, and also have all the pictures and such on a disk, so family members can do as they wish with them (so everyone has a copy). I have had such a strong urgancy to get this completed for her. It's amazing to be able to get to know this amazing woman who has lived 100 years on this earth. She has had such an amazing life, she has such a strong testimony of the gospel and has devoted her life to it. She has had so many trials, losing 3 husbands in a lifetime. Yet you go visit her and she will still smile and be so happy to see you, you can just feel the love from this women. She truly is a choice spirit. I am very thankful that I have been given this opportuntiy to help her document her life and make it available for all to enjoy. This has been such and inspiration to me, I have felt drawn to begin doing this for more people. I think I am finding my next calling in life. I just hope I can live up to it.

A New Week
We had a nice weekend, I spent all day Saturday cleaning carpets and Kim spent all day weed eating and mowing the lawns (we have a huge yard). Brendan came over after he got off work, then Jammie and Marcus came over that evening and we ordered pizza. It was nice to lounge around and visit. We set outside on the back patio and watched the kids play. Joey and Marley running around. Lyndon throwing the balls at anyone who would pay attention to him. Then Kim found a frog, wow, Marcus brought it over to Lyndon to check it out. It was so cute, (I will add pictures later), he set and pet it and touched it and talked to it. Then he had enough. I don't blame him, I hate frogs. So then Kim had to go put the frog away it the fruit trees so Marley wouldn't find it, she ate the last frog he found. Well, Joey wanted to see it, so he and Papa went "Frog Huntin" in the dark with their flash lights. They had no luck, the frog was smarter than them. Well Joey ended up spending the night.
Sunday, Jame & Marcus showed up bright and early, waking us all up. We had a huge breakfast (thanks Mom), then the boys went for a jeep ride and I watched Lyndon while Jame used the computer at her Grandma's house. The boys came back with some cool arrowheads. Joey found his first arrowhead (will add picture). It was a nice weekend.

Just Starting Out
Kim and I have moved back to Fredonia in August of 2007, after about 5-6 years in the Hurricane area. It's strange to be back, but a nice familiarity. We missed it without realizing it. It's nice to be back in the slow pace of life for a while, things have been to crazy in our lives for the past 5 years, we need to relax and breath.
We are now living alone without any kids at home... it's very lonely. We are trying to adjust to our new empty nest. We have a beautiful home we are renting, it's huge. Beautiful yard that of course Kim and I are playing in. I love to plant flowers, I want to plant a garden and Kim is keeping up with the lawn care and pest control. He is a really good landscaper. I love working with him in the yard.
Jammie and Marcus are living in Fredonia as well, so we get to see them and the kids all the time, which is a huge blessing. They keep my spirits up when I'm lonely. Joey enjoy's spending the night at Papa's and Grandma's a lot, he likes to come and watch Animal Planet with Papa. He plays with Marley (our new puppy, yes she is a pitbull...get over it), he just loves her. They play all the time chasing each other around the yard, around the house...driving Grandma a little crazy sometimes. Lyndon hasn't got to sleep over yet, but we are getting there, we had to wait for him to "unlatch" from his mom. Which he has done well, so soon he will be able to come and stay the night. Jame and Marcus purchased a little mobile home with a cute yard that they are just working on day and night. The minute that Marcus gets home, Jame has him working on the next project. She has planted her garden, new lawn, laying out flagstone for the rest of the yard, a dog run, and of course she has developed a passion like me for planting flowers (must be a girl thing?). She can't wait to go to the nursery in town and buy new flowers to plant. Marcus is still working in St. George and has been a weekend dad, but has just recently been able to change shifts so he is home every night. Such a blessing for them. He is trying hard to find work over here so he wont have to travel and be away from the family, but here it's hard. Hopefully he will get something at the uranium mine. Joey will be starting kindergarten this year, I can't believe it. So Jame is sort of getting the bug to have another baby. I am very proud of them, they have accomplished so much and have turned into such a cute little family that we enjoy having so near us.
Drew and Harmony are in St. George still (I'm trying to get them closer to me). They are both working and doing really great at their jobs. Harmony is getting ready to start school to get her RN. She has been able to take Jaidyn with her to work a lot, which is so great for them. Or her family watches her. That is great. They are looking for a home which hasn't happened yet, I'm hoping it's because they need to come here.... They come over at least once a month and stay the weekend with us. It's so nice to have them come. They are such a cute family, Jaidyn is such a doll. She is so full of life and love. She just brightens the room. When they come over Jame and Marcus end up spending the weekend with us, and we have a big family dinner or go for a ride or adventure somewhere. This last time they came we went out for a ride looking for arrowheads and invited Kim's parents. It was really a great time. Kim and I really enjoy having our kids near us. Especially with these grandkids, they are such a blessing to our lives. I really am blessed with my family.
Matt is stilllll in Wyoming. He is doing really well. He just got back from Texas for some training for his job. He just purchased his first car, by his self, I'm so proud. Apparently he has a girlfriend but they are taking it slow....Which is good. Her name is Crissy also, weird. I told him that has to be awkward for him. I really think he likes her a lot. We miss him horribly. He is such a bundle of life in our family. Always keeping us on our toes. Pulling jokes and trying to be mr. funny man. I know he misses his mom and wants to come visit me sooo bad.... I just know this. He is a dork!
Steph is living with her dad in Toolee (spell?). She is doing better, she had a bit of a struggle at the first because she didn't have any friends yet at school. But she does now, and her dad just bought her a car. She is working on getting her license and finding a job. She can't wait to get her license so she can come visit us. She misses me... I just know it. She misses Lyndon and Joey tons (her linda lou). Her plan is to go to school next year and take packets also, so she can be done with school by January next year. I'm very proud of her and hope she is able to accomplish this. She is wanting to go to cosmotology school, I'm talking her into coming to St. George to do it, so we can see her and of course, I can get my hair done for free. We miss her tons, she was such a help at home, it's lonely with out her.
Brendan is still in Kanab living with his mom. Going to school, playing sports, and working. He just finished with baseball. The placed 4th in state I believe. He is so talented. He just went to his Junior prom, I took pictures, but need to get them developed. He looked so handsome. He has a girlfriend, Demi. She is a cute girl, we haven't officially "met" her yet. He hasn't brought her around yet. He is so busy, we hardly ever see him. He said he plans on staying with us for a bit for the summer this year. So that will be fun. It's really nice when he comes around, he has turned into such a nice handsome young man. Kim is supposed to be ordaining him to a Priest next Sunday. I can't believe it. My kids are all so grown up. I'm very proud of Brendan, he is good kid and does so well in school. Just hope his girlfriend doesn't "distract" him too much... you know how girls are....
Well that's all the kids and how we are doing so far. I could talk about our pets, Marley. She is such a cute puppy. We really enjoy her, until she poops in the house, then I want to kick her butt. She tore out my purple rose bush I just planted. So I'm a little preturbed with her right now. But, she is a puppy. Our kitty, Tinkerbell, has now decided that it's ok to have the dog around. She now has someone to play with especially now that Stephy is gone. She teases the dog tremendously, and they chase each other all over the house and yard. It cracks us up to watch them. It's a love/hate relationship for the cat. Marley just wants to love on the cat and lick her to death. Too much fun!
Anyway, I will post more later, along with picutres.
